„Disposable Men“ (entsorgbare Männer) und Unterschiede zwischen Rettungsaktionen für eine Frau bzw einen Mann im Film

Only me führt etwas zur männlichen Entbehrlichkeit bzw zum „entsorgbaren Mann“  aus

Im 2005er King Kong Film gibt es eine Passage, die in der Wikipedia so beschrieben wird:

Englehorn organizes a rescue party, led by Hayes and Driscoll. They encounter and kill a Ferrucutus. The rescue party is then caught in the middle of a pack of Venatosaurus saevidicus and the herd of Brontosaurus baxteri they are hunting, and six [men] are killed, including cameraman Herb. The rest of the rescue party come across a swamp where actor Bruce Baxter and two others leave the group. The rest cross the swamp on rafts, only to be attacked by „Scorpio-pedes“, as well by a „Piranhadon“, which devours three [men]. The rescue party is making their way across a fallen log over a ravine when Kong attacks. Five crewmen (…) are killed after being thrown off the log, and the rest of the crew ride the log down the ravine and land in a pit. (…) The remaining rescue party find the pit to be full of giant insects. Lumpy is killed by the maggot-like „Carnictics Sordicus“ while two others are killed by spider-like creatures. Englehorn, Baxter and the two crewmen return, saving the last four survivors of the rescue party from the pit.

MaW: 17 Männer werden gemetzelt beim Versuch, eine Frau zu „retten“, von der mittlerweile heißt:

Ann wins Kong over with juggling and dancing, and begins to grasp Kong’s intelligence and capacity for emotion.

Ich kenne nicht eine einzige Frau, die nach dem Film meinte, hier sei ein gewisses Missverhältnis zu beobachten.

Bei Saving Private Ryan ist das sogar Thema im Film selbst:

Reiben and Ryan are with Miller as he dies and says his last words, „James…earn this. Earn it.“ In the present day, the elderly Ryan and his family visit the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial and discover Miller’s grave. Ryan expresses his appreciation for what Miller and the others did for him. He then asks his wife if he is a „good man“ worthy of their sacrifices

Es braucht viel, viel, viel mehr, bevor eine Frau fragen würde, ob sie oder eine andere Frau das Opfer von Männern verdient hätte.
„50 Schatten in Gruselig“ redet nicht zufällig ständig von der „Göttin in ihr“: Ihr stehen selbstverständlich Männeropfer zu. Das ist die Natur der Dinge: Der Mann opfert und die Frau entscheidet, ob sie das Opfer gnädig annimmt oder nicht.

Vor diesem Hintergrund: Ich glaube, der durchschnittlichen Mein-Feminismus-Feministin geht es nicht um Hegemonie oder dergl.
Es ist schlicht und einfach ehrliche Verwirrung, wie jemand das Leid von Frauen und das Leid von Männern in einem Atemzug nennen kann.
Natürlich reagiert sie auf den Hinweis auf das Leid von Männern mit „LENK NICHT AB“, denn es ist doch k l a r, wessen Leid das allein relevante ist.

 

Anmerken möchte ich, dass es eine Ausprägung von „Sperm is cheap, eggs are expensive“ ist, verbunden damit, dass Männer über gefährliche Rettungsaktionen eben Status aufbauen können und in gewisser Weise intrasexuelle Konkurrenz betreiben können: Der gefährliche Weg macht deutlich, wer ein Held ist und wer nur ein „Red Shirt“ Die Männer, die auf dem Weg sterben sind nur Zeichen dafür, dass es ein harter Weg war.

Eine Frau den gefährlichen Weg gehen zu lassen entwickelt sie nicht in gleicher Weise.
